Ethnic Groups

It may be completely unfair, but it remains a fact of life that some ethnic groups seem to be predisposed to certain illnesses. Nevertheless, it remains the choices made by each person that most clearly defines their risk of cardiovascular disease. But, are you at a greater risk than others? The following data compiled by the American Heart Association may help you understand the role ethnicity may play in your health. You might be tempted to think that White Females must be immortal, but, of course, that isn’t true. Not all individuals in any ethnic group get the disease, so making good health decisions saves many. Regardless of the group you find yourself in, by reducing your individual risk factors you will improve your odds.
