Advanced Heart Failure Program

This program utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to evaluate the state of your heart and assist in managing potential issues. With a dedicated team of health care professionals, we offer the most extensive, cost-effective, and state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic program in the greater Alliance/Salem area.

Our heart failure program incorporates dietary counseling, extensive nurse-based education, physical conditioning and aerobic exercise, lipid management, smoking cessation, avoidance of alcohol and cardiotoxic drugs, in addition to pharmacologic therapy.

Patient education and nursing intervention has been shown to reduce hospitalization in heart failure populations (N Engl. J. Med. 333:1190-1195). As a result, our multidisciplinary team approach results in better patient compliance with their therapy, early recognition of changes in our patient's condition, an improved quality of life, reduced emergency room visits and hospitalizations, reduced healthcare costs, and ultimately, improved survival.
